JOB DESCRIPTION
An internship at Uzabase gives you the opportunity to kick-start your career in the field of industry/ investment
research. You will gain a deep understanding of various industry dynamics on emerging industries, develop valuable
analytical skills and get an exposure to report writing. You will be an active member of the analyst team and work
closely with lead analysts in Sri Lanka and project members from our US team.

• Support senior analysts on the preparation of highly analytical reports on emerging technologies aimed at
supporting business and investment decisions
• Track news and release news updates to clients to stay up to date with latest trends on emerging industries
• Carry out research to identify startups in emerging sectors and prepare company profiles

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Candidates in the final year of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Science/Mathematics (from
a top three local or a top 100 international university)
OR
• Students sitting for intermediate or final level exams of CIMA, ACCA or any related professional qualification
• Candidates with a strong academic record or proven report writing skills will be given preference

• Strong interest in finance/economics/investing and ability to conduct numerical analysis
• Independent thinker with the desire and ability to form their own opinions rather than indulging in group-think
• Passion for creating high quality written reports with the ability to write clearly and succinctly
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills who works with a sense of urgency
• Cooperative and considerate teammate with the ability to communicate openly and maturely

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluency in English – strong written and verbal skills
