About the Team

The Frankfurt based Procurement /Third Party Risk Management (Sourcing) team of Group Audit (GA) undertakes professional audit work in accordance with the GA's methodology to provide audit coverage of Deutsche Bank's Third Party Risk management and Procurement framework portfolio. As such, it works in a cooperative manner with other teams across GA, providing Subject Matter Expertise.

Your key responsibilities
  • Assists on audit assignments; undertakes work in accordance with the Audit methodology by meeting required quality standards.
  • Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, delivers audit work (including audit planning tasks, tests of controls and preparation of the relevant documentation) and assists the more senior team members with drafting audit Issues.
  • Executes audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach e.g. documenting Activity Flows, identification of key risks, testing of key controls to determine whether they are properly designed and are operating effectively and documenting work in accordance with divisional standards.
  • Partners with other divisional/teams during audit engagement to guarantee an integrated approach.
  • Acts as a challenger to clients in the development of remediation plans.
  • Completes all assigned work in line with agreed budgets, timelines and ensures work is of adequate quality.
  • Acts as a challenger to clients in the issue closure process.
  • Communicates openly with divisional management and the internal stakeholders; keeps them informed of potential issues and escalate problems/delays accordingly.
  • Proactively keeps abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business practices.
  • Proactively develops and maintains professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas.
  • Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution.
  • Highlights performance issues within the team, where appropriate, to drive for high performance.
  • Acts as a role model within their own team.
Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration related discipline or other relevant qualification.
  • Basic understanding of the banking risk and control environment, and the regulatory environment specific to third party risk management and procurement.
  • Some experience in the delivery of audit related assignments (ideally in complex financial services environments or respective Auditor role) as well as data management and/or analysis/review of processes.
  • A willingness to accept responsibility, a high level of personal integrity and an eye for detail without losing the big picture.
  • Strong English communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good relationship management, analytical, problem solving, communication, influencing, planning and presentation skills.
  • Able to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organisation, transfer knowledge and develop capability of team members.
