KPMG China's Strategy & Performance (S&P) works with C-level executives to identify, structure and help solve their most critical strategic and performance needs across the economic and transaction cycles. Our mission is to provide insights, knowledge and support to our clients to help them make positive decisions which are value enhancing. S&P is organized across five business pillars:

S&P works with clients across all the above pillars to support their sustainability strategy design and implementation across topics such as ESG and Sustainability Strategy, Economic and Social Development, Sustainable Finance, Climate Change and Decarbonisation. Our team is small but expanding with committed investment support nationally. Our S&P team will work closely with our reporting, assurance and regulatory specialists to bring the right capability to our clients.
Responsibilities
• Delivering high quality client engagements and work streams related to KPMG's services; applying your knowledge and experience to meet client expectations under the direction of senior team members and while managing and delegating to project team members
• Driving collaboration and team-based working; building internal capacity of new and less experienced team members, including facilitating / participating in knowledge sharing, and establishing and enhancing internal relationships to strengthen awareness across KPMG
• Participating in sustainability, social impact and corporate responsibility related business development activities such as proposal development and topical campaigns
• Supporting client relationship management, attendance of events and conference, and staying involved in broader industry activities
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of latest developments and methodologies in sustainability, social impact and corporate responsibility including select sub topics such as sustainable supply chain, or sustainable finance, decarbonization or circular economy
• Being passionate about areas of expertise, managing your own development by learning continuously from experience and seeking out development opportunities
Required experience & technical skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated role such as corporate social sustainability and responsibility, social impact or change, community investment and/or the management of social risks and impacts
• Previous management consulting experience is highly desirable
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Bachelor degree or above) in social research, client change, sustainable development, social impact and/or related disciplines such as sustainable finance, supply chain or decarbonization
• Understanding of social impact and corporate responsibility issues, trends, standards and guidelines such as AA1000, GRI Standards, the UN Global Compact Principles, the Guiding Principles on Business & HR, etc.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement
• Ability to think critically and take a challenging yet constructive approach
• Ability to work at pace, and at times under high pressure, while maintaining sound judgment
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in both written and oral English; at least proficient in Chinese
