Sr. C# Developer - AVP

As a Barclays Senior C# Developer, you will be a part of the Collateral Management and Client Valuation (CMCV) team. The CMCV has aggressive targets to meet regulatory change, operating cost reductions and process efficiencies. You will be responsible for ensuring that the technology platforms are designed to meet business demands and are scalable so as to accommodate future business growth.

What will you be doing?

• Rapidly learning applications in CMCV technology environment
• Following Agile development processes defined by CMCV IT
• Adhering to CMCV architecture and designing appropriate technical solutions; designing low level technical solutions
• Writing Code and performing automated unit test cases (BDD)
• Producing documented and tested software for delivery to production
• Reworking defects and taking part in defect analysis
• Applying design and system architecture skills to ensure ongoing performance improvements and stability of the core system
• Participating in DevOps activities

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Mathematics or Scientific discipline
• Strong C# .Net experience covering Server side development and SOA
• Previous experience in server side application development with strong understanding of multi-threading
• Database development skills with MS SQL 2008 and above

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience with WCF, WPF, XML, OOPs
• Experience working in Agile development (Scrum / Lean / Kanban)
• Regular and confident interaction with end-users and business analysts
• Automation / DevOps exposure (preferable)
