We are looking for a Director level candidate who has a reasonable understanding of Asian equity markets in particular. Client facing skills and experience are useful but not a must. The candidate doesn't need to have a deep expertise in a particular equity market but would help if he/she had past exposure to the Chinese and / or Indian equity markets. We care more about the person being a strong analyst who is intellectually flexible and can move from topic to topic as opposed to a subject matter expert in one particular area. We are also open to strong VPs, someone from the buy side and / or economics teams

What will you be doing?

Make medium term trade recommendations involving the major Asian equity markets
Work on cross-asset pieces across Asian financial markets
Flag themes coming out of Asia that would be relevant to a global macro audience
Liaise closely with the economists / credit analysts/ fx and em rates specialists in the region on pan Asian views

What we're looking for:

Strong experience in macro research across economies, currencies and local EM rates markets
Reasonable understanding of Asian equity markets
Intellectually flexible and strong analytical skills

Where will you be working?

This role can be based in Singapore or Hong Kong
