Within Allspring, the Institutional Client and Consultant Relations Group (ICG/CR) delivers holistic investment solutions and thought leadership to pension plans, Defined Contribution plans, endowments and foundations, Insurance companies and the Consultants who advise them.  Within this broader team, the Institutional Client Group (ICG) is responsible for understanding the needs of each institutional client and prospect to develop and provide best in class insights and investment solutions, utilizing the vast array of capabilities offered across Allspring.  To deliver these capabilities to our North American clients, it is critical to leverage leadership within our four geographic regions where client-facing professionals work collaboratively to develop, retain, and grow relationships with institutional clients. 

This professional will work closely with the Regional Leader, and other leaders within our Consultant Relations, Retirement Group, Distribution Enablement, investment teams, Marketing, and broader partnership functions, to bring the full capabilities of the firm to clients and prospects in a thoughtful, engaging, differentiated and effective manner.  Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, engaging in strategic relationships within their region to establish, grow, and retain those relationships; maintaining direct dialogue with clients, while understanding their needs, and delivering solutions; understanding and staying current on Allspring Global Investment’s business strategy in order to drive firm-wide initiatives; and collaboratively developing the region's presence by supporting client-focused events (i.e. a symposium, seminar, etc.) that can enhance and reinforce our brand of being a holistic solutions provider. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engaging in complex, critical, and strategic relationships within their region (as needed) to establish, grow, and retain those relationships.
  • Collaborating and partnering seamlessly with their regional counterparts, to develop best in class client engagement and results across their regions, and ICG more broadly.
  • Developing and executing the strategy within their region with both clients and prospects. Maintaining a culture of direct dialogue with clients, while understanding their needs, and delivering solutions; understanding and staying current with Allspring’s business strategy to drive firm-wide initiatives.
  • Developing the region’s presence with by driving marketing initiatives and client-focused events (i.e., a symposium, seminar, etc.) that can enhance and reinforce our brand of being a holistic, independent solutions provider.  
  • Ability to travel up to 65% of the time. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7-10 years of client management or investment sales experience with large market accounts with a focus towards large institutional relationships.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 and 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. 
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position.  
  • In addition, state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive knowledge of the asset management industry, trends, as well as a broad range of complex investment products and solutions such as Liability Driven Investing and Environmental Social Governance.
  • Strong, demonstrated sales and client relationship management skills within the southeast or mid-Atlantic region.
  • Established relationships within the southeast and mid-Atlantic region.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and/or Seismic. Track record of intellectual curiosity. 
  • CFA or MBA.
