Position Overview

Details of the role and how it fits into the team

ASL (agency securities lending) platform supports two key business objectives:

• Facilitating agency lend/borrow workflows for fund asset managers (lending to make higher yield) and hedge fund clients (borrowing to support short positions).
• Invest overnight cash deposits held by corporate clients into off balance sheet investments which is brand new capability (Cash Investment Engine)

Team is targeting to rollout cash investment engine on top of ASL platform and to transform the existing ASL platform into a modern micro service based and cloud native application, with modern technical practices, with intention to move the platform to GCP in 1-2 years. Target platform is Java/Kotlin for backend and Web UI (TypeScript/React) for the UI.
The successful candidate will be working in a distributed team and be responsible for full life-cycle of development tasks, starting from specification and design to successful implementation and level 3 production support. Main focus will be on delivery of modern web UIs for new products and services.

Your key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of your tasks: estimate, design, develop and (auto)test new functionality, document design decisions
• Review other team members code
• Collaborate with QA team on test automation of new and existing functionality
• Working with IT colleagues on technical analysis and design, contribute to the definition of the future state of the system architecture
• Working with business and IT colleagues on functional and non-functional requirements

Your skills and experiences

• Very good hands-on knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript - 1+ years
• Good knowledge of any modern UI framework: React, Vue, Angular and associated tools such as webpack, Sass/Less
• Basic understanding of how browsers work: rendering and event processing
• Good knowledge of CSS
• Good written and spoken English - B1 or higher
• Basic knowledge of backend technologies is a plus - Java/Kotlin, Spring, OpenAPI
