Position Description:

The HRBP Associate will provide program execution and day to day support related to HR Business Partner and Employee Relations efforts. PIMCO's HR Business Partners consult with business leaders to design and implement people strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent and foster inclusive and diverse teams. As trusted advisors to the business, they provide guidance to people leaders, leveraging deep knowledge of the business to evaluate what is needed to support business objectives and accelerate employee success and career growth. HR Business Partners collaborate with the broader HR team on initiatives related to talent management, organizational design, compensation and workforce planning. Our Employee Relations team acts as advisors for the HR team for any aspect of employment related risk, provides oversight and governance for employment related policies, oversees immigration program management, and partners on special projects such as legislative or regulatory change projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand and execute on PIMCO's end-to-end HR business processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Partner with HRBPs to execute business-specific talent development efforts, such as coordinating talent reviews and performance management processes
  • Participate in all levels of coordination and maintenance of accurate employee data to support HR Business Partner and Employee Relations efforts, including but not limited to:
    • Onboarding: Create electronic files and onboarding plans for new joiners, offer senior executive personalized onboarding support
    • Transfers: Process transfers in Workday, work with Global HR Teams to handle international transfer logistics, assist with oversight of employee relocations, such as liaising with vendors, employees and others to ensure a smooth process
    • Terminations: Process information in Workday; complete all termination checklist items including drafting paperwork, filing records appropriately, managing one-time payments, and conducting exit interview; communicate with manager and leaver to coordinate final day details
    • Flexible Work @PIMCO: Support process in Workday; draft flex letters
    • Annual HR Process Support: Plan and execute talent reviews: manage calendar invites, take notes, prepare documentation and materials for managers; support Year-End Process: organize performance and promotion data, set up trackers, provide reports on headcount, compensation, and promotion
  • Manage HR Inquiries by monitoring tickets in inquiry management system (ServiceNow) and respond in timely, accurate manner (1 business day) and/or liaise with appropriate internal HR partners to ensure appropriate response when necessary
  • Perform testing and create documentation for employee-lifecycle transaction related processes in HR systems
  • Work collaboratively to improve efficiency and consistently execute all HR business processes
  • Provide thoughtful, accurate and timely responses to HR colleagues and employees, managers, and business leaders
  • Provide inquiry-related data and insights on themes to improve the employee experience

Qualifications:

  • Affinity for technology, ability to think with a "tech mindset," and interest in or knowledge of new HR technologies such as ServiceNow & Workday

  • Strong collaboration skills, effective at gathering and synthesizing information from multiple parties
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize while meeting rigorous deadlines; displays results orientation
  • Strong critical evaluation skills - ability to apply sound judgement and identify the root causes of problems through an expanded, holistic view vs. looking at smaller, discrete parts or at symptoms in isolation
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly professional manner, with the ability to interact with employees of all levels of experience and seniority, across the organization
  • Ability to learn quickly; demonstrates aptitude for learning global employment practices
  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness to find additional information to better understand issues and topics at hand and uses this information to present thoughtful new ideas


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in an HRBP support capacity
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity with state and federal employment law
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Workday and/or ServiceNow HR Service Delivery platform
  • Flexible to work overtime as required, in-line with business needs
