Consultant Investment Controlling Germany ^m/f/x

Your central role:

Development of solutions for the visualization of large amounts of data for the management

You contribute your capital market expertise and analytical skills to the multi-year management, planning and controlling of our ERGO Group investment portfolios and preparing earnings projections in accordance with IFRS 9 and local GAAP.

You also support the further development and maintenance of our group-wide investment planning solution (Group Investment Planning, GIP), coordinate and support the implementation of functional requirements and drive the further development of the GIP web application. As the central point of contact for users of the GIP solution in Munich Re and ERGO, you assist with technical and functional challenges.

You develop visualization solutions for presenting large amounts of investment data to the top management to enable speedy decision-making.

You work closely with all areas responsible for investments at ERGO and Munich Re, both nationally and internationally. You tackle new challenges and further developments in investment planning on your own initiative and in a result-oriented manner.

In doing so, you also keep a close eye on the necessary data connections within our Group systems and assist in updating the required documentation (GIP operating concept, internal control system ICS) ensuring compliance with the relevant IT guidelines.

Your profile:

Mathematician or computer scientist with programming skills

You have a degree in mathematics, computer science, business mathematics or economics with a mathematical/statistical focus.

Advanced knowledge in the programming language "R" and the development of web applications in "R" (Shiny, Shiny Dashboard) including practical experience is essential. You also have experience with agile methods and in dealing with Azure DevOps (ideally from your own project work).

Experience in dealing with modern visualization solutions (Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage as well as capital market and basic knowledge in the area of accounting according to local GAAP and IFRS of insurance companies. Ideally, you come with basic knowledge and understanding of the IFRS 9 standard.

Excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of figures, expertise in assessing complex issues and the ability to present them comprehensively (verbally and graphically) are also your competencies.

Your use of MS Office standard software (Excel, Power-BI) is excellent, as are your data management skills. We appreciate your high degree of self-initiative, willingness to perform in a result-oriented way of working as well as your confident and convincing appearance.
