Details of the role and how it fits into the team
Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlight risks and opportunities and act as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues.

The individual will sit with the European Credit Strategy Research team focusing on European Investment Grade Credit. This involves analysis of key market trends, preparing forecasts for key indicators, on-going authoring and production of written research to promote investment views and marketing of those views to internal and external clients.

Your key responsibilities
  • Senior publishing credit strategy research role with the main focus being European Investment Grade Credit.
  • Undertake analysis of key market trends and generate forecasts around key market indicators including spreads and returns, supply and broader technicals.
  • Utilise various databases and analytical platforms to generate relative value ideas and analysis within the European Investment Grade market via views on duration, ratings and sectors, and also cross-market and cross-currency trade ideas.
  • Assist with sales and trading through providing ongoing commentary and dialogue around key market trends and developments, as well as relative value ideas.
  • Build a brand within the research platform through relevant and timely publications.
  • Build a client network and develop existing client relationships within the business.
  • Cross collaboration with other fixed income research terms including economists and rates to help develop strategic views and create market leading research.
Your skills and experiences
  • Previous experience of covering European Investment Grade Credit
  • A solid understand of credit fundamentals
  • Strong written and presentation ability
  • A track record of producing research or analysis that provides insights into financial markets and/or makes investment recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills which enable you to market your ideas to the internal and external client base
