Investment Advisor, EAM Department, Leading Financial Institution in Asia

We invite an ambitious and talented investment advisor (IA/IC) from private banks or EAMs to join as investment strategist, responsible for investment advisory and portfolio advisory for our award-winning EAM business.

Job Scope:

Investment Advisory

• Develop house views by aggregating and distilling research from sell side and buy side
• Construct investment portfolios for ultra-high net worth clients across equities, fixed income, structured products, funds, private market deals
• Develop and present investment presentations and illustrations for EAM relationship managers and their clients
• Handhold EAM relationship managers for frequent-trading clients (equities, forex, etc)
• Manage institutional relationships with custodian banks, product distributors and fund houses
• Join external investment seminars when required as speaker
• Lead portfolio reviews with EAM relationship managers on a regular basis
• Maintain proper documentation of investment actions
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market practice and regulation
• Prepare Investment Perspective write-up for regular reports

Career Path:

• Can be promoted to CIO of the firm, after sufficient market standing is established with the firm's support, or
• Assume the additional role of portfolio manager to run an inhouse fund, or
• Build a book of HNW clients as EAM RM after Year 3

Requirements:

• 6-10 years of experiences; recently as IA/IC at private banks or EAMs
• All-rounded product knowledge. Calibrated and articulated investment views.
• Great presentation skills via face-to-face meetings or virtual meetings
• Rigorous, meticulous, going extra miles
• Fluent in English and Mandarin. Cantonese is a plus.
• Relevant SFC Type 1, 4 and/or 9
