Position Description:

Our strategies are highly dependent on the data they ingest. We have decades of historical tick data that grows every data combined with reference data, fundamental data and data from our internal risk and analytics systems.

We are looking for a detail orientated data analyst to partner closely with our Quant PMs to help them as data aspects of performing research and build strategies. In this role you will help ingest or manage onboarding of new data sources; build repeatable and scalable data quality metrics to look at population gaps and anomalies in decades of data; help PMs find data sets or chase down data quality issues.

Candidates could come from a range of backgrounds: prior systematic trading exposure, data analyst at a vendor, pre-sales data engineer, data science.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of statistics and using statistical methods to profile data quality
  • Experience working with large datasets in python
  • Experience in owning/stewarding and validating complex large scale data sets
  • Domain experience in financial data sets is beneficial but not required (tick, reference, fundamental, etc)
  • Expertise in meaning, provenance, quality, timing, consumption
