Quant Trader / Developer for Asia credit trading under Asia GCEM
The Asia credit trading desk is looking for an an Associate to VP level individual with strong programming experience, a data driven mindset, and a team mentality to focus on building, enhancing and running electronic trading systems to trade and market make in the Asia credit bonds market. The individual will sit within the trading desk, work closely with voice trading, sales and engineering colleagues, and work towards advancing the broader desk's commercial goals.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Implement software using GS-proprietary technologies and Java. Develop trading tools, algorithms and work-flow solutions
  • Work closely with other traders, over watch trading algorithms / processes, manual trade overlay when required
  • Leverage programming, statistical skills combined with intuition to build infrastructure, generate strategies and drive p&l, market share and franchise growth
  • Using quantitative and technological techniques to solve business problems, analyses franchise and market data, conceive, design, and implement electronic trading signals and strategies
  • Firefight and debug production issues
Preferred Qualifications and Experiences
  • Technology: experience building software systems, implementing fundamental algorithms and working with different programming languages - C++ / Java and Python
  • Maths: proven ability to analyze large data and draw useful conclusions Understanding of time series and basic methods of machine learning
  • Market: understanding of market dynamics within the credit market, preferably Asia credit markets. Direct trading experience preferred but not necessary
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in a STEM area from a leading academic institution
