Operational responsibilities:
  • Manages assigned IT Applications, evaluates and analyses IT issues, and recommends and implements solutions; provide recommendations in building Enterprise IT strategies, policy development and priorities.
  • Monitors operations and assures the quality of the support services; analyses operational results and develops action plans.
  • Reviews applications, and designs a technical management strategy to meet operational needs; defines resource requirements, and scope and priorities of projects.
  • Develops methods to improve overall management and development; assures effective communication of operational issues; manages applications implementation and upgrade projects.
  • Act as business relationship manager and a trusted advisor to business across ADGM Authorities and various Divisions and Functions.
  • Align business goals with applications roadmaps and priorities
  • Develop priorities, and assigns tasks and projects; evaluates performance and resolves workload and technical issues; assures that appropriate services are provided, and goals are defined and achieved.
  • Develops solutions to address coordination and integration of technologies, and assure that operational performance, scalability, capacity and security is aligned with current and future business needs.
  • Provides senior-level support for IT applications users (Business Units); defines problems, identifies and isolates errors, and implements technical solutions to solve problems.
  • Manages and enforces all aspects of system security and confidentiality of records and information; monitors applications and identifies security issues and violations.
  • Manages the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for all assigned applications.
  • Manages long range technology planning; evaluates current operations and future requirements; researches technology options and IT integration issues, and develops solutions.
  • Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behaviour when interacting with stakeholders, clients, visitors, and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
  • Enthusiastically promotes the Superintendent's goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records and ADGM information.
  • At times may be required to work outside normal business hours and work extended hours to accomplish requirements of the position.
  • Responsible for gathering a proper business requirements for solution evaluations.
  • Evaluate and recommend the right applications towards IT Management by thorough study and analysis to ensure all the must have business needs are met.
  • Responsible for project and annual budget (CAPEX & OPEX) preparation and expenditure for the associated portfolio.
  • Ownership of applications integrations while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of organization data and information.
  • Ensure there is the necessary monitoring and reporting in place to proactively pre-empt application related issues to minimise the impact to the business.
  • Perform trend analysis on recurring problems (technical, people, process or other), and taking responsibility for implementing innovative solutions.
  • Establish a robust and effective support framework for the suite of products to ensure that the support provided to the end users is fit for purpose and reflects any changes in technology.
  • Work closely with the Audit community to report on Audit related support matters, manage expectations on Applications & change Delivery.
  • Provide accurate business oversight to reporting Manager to ensure that the business continues to invest in outcomes that deliver real benefits to all stakeholders
  • Foster and embed a culture of ownership and responsibility within IT Team.
  • Provide regular Management updates on key metrics of the department's performance
  • She/he will manage onshore and offshore professionals responsible for all developments and operations and maintenance of Enterprise applications.
  • Develop and own the enterprise information model, data dictionary, and data naming standards
  • Responsible for all agreed Applications SLAs and OLA with Business.
  • Provide all the root causes of critical and high level incidents and problems within agreed timeline.
  • Coordination with service desk to ensure workaround and permanent fix are available and deployed for business applications.
  • Adherence to organization and IT policies and procedures.
  • Identify improvement initiatives that would increase the performance of database systems, for instance performance tuning of database systems for query and data loading performance, data partitioning, indexing...
  • Lead/ Participate in reviewing the underlying technology, tools, and processes necessary for data-warehousing, data integration, and data analysis
  • Deliver additional tasks that may be delegated or assigned from ADGM IT Management

Essential:
  • 9+ years' experience in Applications development role and 3+ years' experience in senior IT professional roles.
  • Bachelors in Computer sciences or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of business needs - ensuring that IT solutions align with organisational strategy and requirements.
  • Experience of enterprise information management concepts, techniques and technologies.
  • Experienced in end-to-end project delivery including requirements elicitation, gathering and re-engineering, documentation at all levels of SDLC, review of the test cases, conducting user acceptance testing and user trainings.
  • Exposure to Enterprise applications integrations through customized and standard APIs and application adapters.
  • Experience with ERP.
  • Experience with Content Management System.
  • Experience with Web portals i.e. internet, intranet.
  • Experience with Data Visualization and Data Warehousing.
  • Experience with automation and digitization.
  • Experience with CRM.
  • Experience with various methods of integrations.
  • SOA understanding.
  • ECM/DMS expertise.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisations supported
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Strong understanding of Procurement cycle.
  • Strong understanding of Budget cycle.
  • Fluent in Business English

  • Related IT Certifications
  • Previous experience in the UAE
  • Proficient in Arabic or other language(s)
