Position Description:

As a Full Stack Developer on our Risk Technology team, you will be helping design, implement and innovate the portfolio liquidity and risk management platform/infrastructure. You will work closely with the other Tech and Data Engineering team members to develop efficient solutions and support others in understanding and solving complex problems. These projects will use elements of our internal software development frameworks, open source technologies, cloud and traditional databases. In addition, you will be exposed to both the technical and functional layers of our business processes and portfolio management applications while acquiring unique skills in both traditional and alternative investments.

Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for full life cycle of development tasks using an Agile programming approach
  • Write modular, testable code in accordance with high level specifications, department design patterns, best practices and industry standards
  • Work well as a teammate and collaborate closely with technology and business colleagues
  • Assume ownership of particular tasks related to enhancing business functionality and value, understand technology and business impact and prioritize effectively


Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years professional programming experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. A higher degree in Computer Science or engineering is preferred
  • Strong experience and a proven track record in Object Oriented development with thorough understanding of data structures
  • Strong OOP skills with hands on experience in a major Object Oriented language such as C#, JAVA or Python (preferred)
  • Intermediate SQL/Database Query experience required
  • Strong analytical ability to learn independently from the code / reverse engineer
  • Ability to work well independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong drive for technical innovation
  • Snowflake/AWS exposure is a plus
  • Exposure to finance (degree, CFA, or work experience) a plus
