Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains relationship with contacts at external firms, investment banks, exchanges, specialist firms, market makers, index providers, and outside vendors.
  • Serves as a specialist on market and trading characteristics. Leverages deep understanding of ETF trading to educate block desks on ETF trading and pricing strategies and opportunities.
  • Maintains solid understanding of portfolio management and risk processes to provide recommendations to regulators, professional bodies, and stock exchanges in regards to market structure and proposed rules in partnership with interested parties. Speaks at industry conferences.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Product team to develop product and market related content for client education and consumption. Provides technical ETF trading training to Sales and clients. Helps shape ETF sales campaigns and lead implementation conversation.
  • Analyzes ETF industry trends in the context of, economic, political, regulatory and capital markets developments. Contributes to E Fund HK's investment strategy and supports investment decision-making. Collaborates with internal teams to improve operational and trading aspects of the ETF lineup.
  • Supports the ETF basket creation/redemption process for standard and customized baskets.


Skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance related field from reputable universities and minimum of 1 year work experience with relevant ETF experience
  • A professional designation (e.g. CFA) is preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of ETFs and the ETF capital market ecosystem including competing investment vehicles
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally; influence and collaborate effectively
  • Fluent in spoken and written in English and Mandarin, and strong communication skills and ability to communicate both internallly and externally
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ETF trading techniques, tools, and processes
  • Strong technical skills (Excel, working knowledge and familiarity with Bloomberg)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to drive results and operate independently
