Job Description: A Portfolio Analytics Specialist on the Equity Analytics team (the Team) is responsible for aiding in the creation and maintenance of all quantitative and “out of the box” analytical tools used throughout the Firm. The Team provides a sophisticated level of support to both the Investment & Business Development teams via portfolio & market decomposition, risk/performance/statistical analysis, and various reports aimed at improving process, portfolio construction, and alpha generation. The Team additionally supports the Investment team through the construction and maintenance of various screens, models, and factor research.


Key Responsibilities

  • Decompose and summarize portfolio and market movements for general consumption
  • Build and maintain performance and statistics reports
  • Work with diverse datasets and construct databases to assist with custom reporting needs
  • Serve as liaison between Investments and Information Technology Teams to enhance our reporting capabilities
  • Conduct risk analysis on all strategies, raise general awareness of risks in our portfolios/process
  • Regular maintenance and Quality Assurance (QA) of all screening and analytical models
  • Development of strategy-based models and communication of signals to Research Team​

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with preferred Finance/Accounting, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills required
  • Ability to troubleshoot and audit data issues
  • Basic understanding of Equity Markets; emphasis on Value
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools preferred (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • 3+ Years of relevant work experience
  • CFA or Candidate preferred; additional certifications beneficial
  • Experience with Investment Research tools desired (FactSet, Bloomberg, CapIQ )
  • Programming & coding skills, including object-oriented languages and scripts desired (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Access, VBA). Interest in learning required
  • Must work well independently and as a team (goal oriented), with strong communication and organizational skills
