AiiM Partners is an early growth private equity firm based in Palo Alto, California, that invests in transformational technology companies addressing complex climate change issues. AiiM’s investment in climate and biodiversity spans across diverse sectors like Smart Agriculture, Low Carbon Food, Alternative Materials and Digital Systems sectors. The team works closely with entrepreneurs to provide hands-on technical support and deliver high financial returns and environmental outcomes. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Partner will work closely with the fund’s Founder and Managing Partner, and the AiiM team. The Partner will help run day-to-day operations of the fund, source, lead and support investments, build and mentor the team, provide hands-on support to portfolio companies, and assist in fundraising. The Partner will also leverage his/her experience and thinking to continue to build out the fund’s strategy. The role is based in Palo Alto, California. Candidates must have extensive venture/growth investment experience and a demonstrable track record, or leadership experience as an operator or as a founder in a high-growth technology company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Be key part of the Investment Committee and evaluate recommendations, ensuring high degree of conviction backed by analysis and frameworks

● Lead, manage and oversee the full investment life-cycle including due diligence, negotiations on investment terms, close process, pre and post funding support, and actively engage and support companies as they scale

● Leverage an established network of co-investors, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to help the firm continue to source high quality investment opportunities that fit the investment criteria

● Be a champion of the firm’s brand and mission, and be a capable representative of the firm in external events and interactions including with entrepreneurs, advisors, limited partners, media and others in the ecosystem ● Assist the Managing Partner in leading fundraising activities including strategy and presentation, investor meetings, introductions and outreach, documentation and materials

● Manage and guide fund operations, including but not limited to fund administration, legal, hiring/recruiting, and finance/audit

● Help mentor, recruit and develop junior team members

● Ability to travel as needed for fundraising and investing responsibilities

KEY REQUIREMENTS: The candidates should have:

● A strong, demonstrated investment track record of venture/growth investing, ideally with realized exits, and/or operational experience building and scaling technology companies

● Deep knowledge of the technology sector, including products, trends, and investors, and possesses a sophisticated and thoughtful understanding of the ecosystem

● Exceptional analytical ability, including the ability to analyze data and highly technical material effectively, interpret results, extract data-driven insights and proactively identify and mitigate risks

● Evidence of the ability to listen, understand, and communicate effectively in a wide variety of contexts and with a wide variety of people

● Ability to lead and organize team efforts across multiple workstreams/projects, and drive them to completion

● Bring creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to complex and challenging situations

● Demonstrated ability and track record of adding value to technology companies

● Skills to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and the ability to be accretive to the team and the firm's mission

● Strong negotiation and structuring skills, with demonstrated ability to navigate complex transactions and multiple stakeholders and interests while delivering optimal outcomes

Other Requirements:

● Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant work experience

● Prior experience having Board Director and/or advisory roles to high-growth companies
