Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysts to provide market and analytical support for developing new business opportunities, new product offerings and various strategic projects
  • Analytical oversight to analysts, ensures consistency in the analysis and undertakes rigorous analytical work
  • Ensure that analytical guidelines, quality standards, procedures and policies established are adhered to for all credits
  • Provide significant support and oversight for a wide range of strategic and ad-hoc research projects and deliverables
  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive financial and credit rating models for the measurement and management of credit risk for different industry and portfolios
  • Act as a member of rating committees and be responsible for convening and conducting rating committee deliberations in area of expertise
  • Act as senior representative in meeting with issuers and investors on analytical matters and assist in resolving clients' analytical needs
  • Effectively communicate to clients regarding methodology and procedures
  • Involvement in communicating rating rationale to external audiences (primarily institutional investors, sell-side analysts and media) in meetings, conference calls, press releases and written research reports
  • Contribute to media requirements in conjunction with other senior members of the organization
  • Attend professional meetings on behalf of the company and make effective presentations
  • Model the company's leadership behaviors, coach and mentor and provide career advice for junior staff


Requirements:
  • Master degree at minimum, CFA/CPA or other professional qualifications a plus
  • 8+ years relevant experience in capital markets, credit, financial and/or strategic analysis, plus a solid financial knowledge, development and maintenance of credit risk models
  • Expert knowledge and competence in credit risk management and Basel requirements
  • Strong statistical and risk modeling skills, and programming knowledge in SAS, SQL, and/or Python/R
  • Strong communication skills especially in explaining complex technical subjects in a simple/pragmatic way and stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
  • Demonstrated ability to give effective presentations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead rigorous analytical work and lead the publication of timely commentaries
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of analysts will be an added advantage
