Job Description & Responsibilities

We are looking to hire strong individuals with a background in EHS due diligence and / or ESG strategy and transformation for roles focused on supporting asset managers to develop their responsible investment practices.

Purpose and overall relevance for the organization:

• Take lead and develop products for the growing trend of Responsible Investment, and to assist various clients on the path towards sustainable development
• Expand the Company's business network through client engagement
• Support management in go to market campaign and leading projects, initiatives, and strategy development, in particular for the complex M&A market (both buy and sell side)

Job Duties:

• Stay attuned to the latest development of ESG market landscape and trends
• Take lead on projects in developing or refining client's ESG policies, procedures, and reporting methodologies
• Take lead on detailed ESG due diligence and gap analysis as part of the overall investment due diligence process
• Conduct ESG portfolio review and advisory, including but not limited to targeted 'deep dives' on portfolio companies, including review and re-design operational process
• Take lead in collection and review of non-financial KPIs and reporting at portfolio and investee company level
• Take lead in preparation for and delivery of ESG training for clients' investment teams
• Take lead in business development and pitching assignments to engage potential clients

Requirements:

• A graduate degree in business, engineering, environmental science, statistics, mathematics and/or equivalent discipline
• Senior Manager / Manager shall have minimum 5-years' overall relevant working and advisory experience, with at least 3-5 years' experience in ESG advisory or Responsible Investment related services
• Proved experience in research and data analytical capabilities is highly preferred
• Proved experience and familiarity in M&A projects (in particular China) with an ESG or sustainability angle
• Excellent analytical and decision making and problem solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
• Excellent command in English and Chinese; written and spoken, and familiarity with office, Excel, PPT and other office software
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional qualification (CFA, CPA, FRM) is preferred
• Familiarity with UNPRI, TCFD, SASB, IFC Sustainability Standards, GRI Standards for sustainability reporting is preferred
