Position Description:

PIMCO is expanding its real assets footprint to build a world-class infrastructure investment platform. We are looking for experienced Portfolio Managers to be part of this team and complement our existing strategies with the goal of building a track-record that could ultimately raise standalone vehicles.

The position requires deep experience in infrastructure underwriting and deal origination, ideally including proven transaction success in the energy and power sectors, including renewables. The role sits within PIMCO's private investing team and will partner with both public and private investment teams to source and execute transactions focused on the energy transition alongside other infrastructure areas (digital, social, transportation, etc.). Experience should also include transactions across difference phases of project development.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded business professional with an impressive performance record of accomplishment in infrastructure investments. They will have strong market reputation, be highly respected and a successful investment executive with deep industry contacts including developers, bankers, and LP relationships. This individual will be a highly motivated professional who sets and meets ambitious business and personal commitments with a demonstrated interest in building a career in energy transition investments.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-12 years of in asset management or portfolio management in infrastructure
  • A degree in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Law, or Engineering
  • Strong experience of the energy sector including renewable and transitional energy, is highly desired
  • Outstanding structuring, underwriting, and execution skills for complex investments
  • Business builder profile with deep industry contacts with developers, bankers, and LPs
  • Strong risk management, portfolio diversification, and asset management experience
  • Understanding of investor relations, financial reporting, legal/regulatory compliance, and fund/deal structuring
  • Excellent presentation skills coupled with polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, a low-ego and a driven and team-oriented collaborative approach to work with firm's internal partners
  • Ability to synthesize complex data in a clear manner
  • Proactive standout colleague with a desire and ability to work in a global, fast-paced, collaborative, impactful team environment
