POSITION

We are looking to add a full time analyst to cover credit investments and work closely with portfolio managers and analysts. You will join a team covering cross asset opportunities within the insurance sector.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to Twelve's "analyst recommendation" by forming a view on issuers, markets, trends, while being able to translate these inputs into buy or sell recommendations on issuers under coverage. Contribute to idea generation for all strategies that allocate to liquid/benchmark-size debt content
  • Support the assessment of new issues (assess relative value and generate a view of fair pricing) and show willingness to learn how to liaise with DCM and Syndicate desks
  • Provide coverage of regulatory and legal developments (updates in Solvency II, development of IFRS, etc.)
  • Development and maintenance of financial models and tools
  • Support the maintenance of credit ratings
  • Cover news-flow and relevant information for the insurance sector
  • Support (when needed) the due diligence process of smaller and less liquid players
  • Assist in producing marketing material that would support the portfolio managers with developing and growing the strategy

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • 3-5 years' experience in an analytical role with an initial knowledge/understanding of insurance
  • Previous experience in similar role, preferably sell-side, buy-side, consultancy firm or rating agency
  • A keen interest in financial markets and the clear ambition of building a career in investment analytics
  • Understanding/exposure to ESG or a willingness to develop these competences
  • Understanding of accounting principles, corporate finance, financial modelling, and business valuation
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Goal driven with the ability to prioritise tasks while working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express complex ideas a in simple and effective way
  • Progress towards CFA or actuarial credentials viewed favourably
  • Diligent with a strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative, curious pro-active team player with a can-do attitude
  • Professional, client oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Language requirement: Excellent command of English plus a second European language
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the Switzerland
