The Latin America group serves both institutional and retail clients, including corporate, public and industry pension plans; insurance companies; third-party mutual funds; endowments; foundations; charities; corporations; official institutions; banks and all other financial intermediaries throughout the region. Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services relevant to clients' investment needs. Client businesses are accountable for client relationships and distribution of products and services. Furthermore, they are supported by a regional client organization and centralized marketing function to ensure consistency globally.

BlackRock's Offshore Wealth business is the second largest business segment in Latin America with $50B in AUM. The business covers wealth managers, distributors and family offices located in the United States, Panama, and Uruguay.

The Strategy & Enablement Pillar - Lead will work closely with the Offshore Wealth leadership team to: i) set the commercial strategy for the business, with a focus on defining focus products and putting in place sales campaigns, ii) lead the segmentation and tiering strategy for the business, with a focus on implementing differentiated strategies across different client segments, iii) be the business lead for all technology and data projects across the business, including ensuring that the Offshore Wealth business has access to the firm's latest technology and for partnering across the organization, iv) leading the data analytics pillar, ensuring that the sales teams and management have access to business data and providing relevant insights from this data, and v) partner closely with marketing to execute the strategy for the Digital Distribution channel.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute insights to set the commercial strategy for the business, with a focus on defining focus products and putting in place sales campaigns. The individual will be responsible for partnering with client teams to understand client preferences and needs and create a differentiated distribution strategy where appropriate.
  • Lead the segmentation and tiering strategy for the business, with a focus on implementing differentiated strategies across different client segments.
  • Put in place measuring systems to understand different client trends and better segment the business.
  • Be the business lead for all technology and data projects across the business, including ensuring that the Offshore Wealth business has access to the firm's latest technology and for partnering across the organization.
  • Leading the data analytics pillar, ensuring that the sales teams and management have access to business data and providing relevant insights from this data.
  • Partner closely with marketing to execute the strategy for the Digital Distribution channel.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years or more as an experienced asset management professional.
  • Ability to think strategically and navigate complex and matrix organizations.
  • Proficient in markets and in understanding a broad range of investment solutions (ETFs, active strategies, cash, alternatives, etc)
  • Ambitious work ethic, professional disposition, detail-oriented and a passion for investments.
  • Data processing / data science skills preferred, including the ability to navigate unstructured data bases and work with partner teams to create structured output (e.g. using Tableau)
  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA, Data Science degrees, or industry designations such as the CIMA, CFA are a plus).
  • Spanish and Portuguese language capabilities preferred.
