Verus is in search of a Risk Analyst to join our office in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, mathematical, and computer skills. 

The Risk Analyst is responsible for:

  • Evaluating and interpreting multi-factor risk model outputs across asset classes and instrument types including: Equities, Fixed Income, Hedge Funds, and Private Assets
  • Producing and presenting risk reports to internal clients to support decision making
  • Loading manager holdings and modeling complex instrument types in our risk system
  • Validation of risk outputs and managing monthly reporting production process
  • Meeting with internal clients regularly to gain insights into their needs and provide clarity on portfolio and benchmark risk as impacted by various changes in the market and the portfolio
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of necessary inputs, identifying and working with others to automate, enhance, and make more efficient whenever possible

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Science, or Engineering desired
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, and/or CFA/FRM designation is preferred
  • Relevant investment and/or programming experience can be substituted for degree emphasis
