Chartered Financial Analyst

Job Role

The Analyst will take primary ownership of:

1. Run financial modelling
2. Work with Finance, Sales, Tech and operations team to build ongoing, expected year end financials and future projection financials (P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow) based on expansion strategy
3. Preparing IMs, investment reports which also involves VCs screening, and exit
4. Support fundraising, to be part of roadshows supporting our financial story
5. Conducting research about potential VCs locally, regionally and internationally

Working Relationships

• Main Internal Relationships:Founders, Department heads
• Main External Relationships: VCs, Strategy consultants, Auditors

Key Position Accountabilities

The ideal candidate will currently be an Analyst at a VC or PE or Investment Bank and will be enthusiastic about being an early member in a growing team and a progressive career with the firm.

An overview of the responsibilities would be:

• Conducting Market research for our total addressable market, potential market size, work with team to understand serviceable market and obtainable market
• Conducting research on market trends, pricing, transaction revenue and competition including recent acquisitions and dispositions, etc and assisting in sourcing for opportunities
• Conducting due diligence on potential valuation and acquisition including building financial models and providing analysis on the same
• Building complex financial models including building assumptions and translating data on the same
• Assisting with the preparation of high-quality investment presentation materials and other supporting documents in a clear concise manner
• Assisting with the execution of acquisitions and dispositions including preparation of aspects of draft term sheets, letters of intent or offer letters
• Conducting research about potential VCs locally, regionally and internationally to reach out to
• Being involved in other ad-hoc projects for the team

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business/ Finance / Economics from a top tier university; a Masters Degree/ MBA
• CFA is a big plus
• Have 3+ years investment experience
• Have excellent analytical and data gathering skills financial modelling skills such as valuation, merger models, portfolio metrics, DCF models etc.
• Have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills and good business acumen
• Be passionate about having a career in fin tech startup
