Who we're looking for

Someone to successfully assist in the management and implementation of a portfolio's investment strategy. The Head of Implementation EM will represent the Emerging Markets Equity Investment Team with respect to projects and process and will act as a conduit with operational teams on all requirements.

They will manage an Implementation Team of 3 people ensuring daily workloads are met and manage risk with respect to implementing trades and cash management. Responsible for writing Risk Control Assessments and ensuring procedural documentation is up to date. Also responsible for overseeing the take on of new mandates and models working closely with Fund Managers to design and propose investment process.

The Head of Implementation EM is a senior role and will be expected to provide management information and work with the Investment Platform team recommending improvements and delivering the roll out of system updates supporting testing as required.

The team

Working within the Global Emerging Markets Equity Team which have AUM of USD50.53 bn. Managing a team of 3 Implementation Analysts
What you'll do

• Overall day to day management of the Implementation Team
• Representation of Implementation team at key management meetings
• Designing and proposing procedures for implementation and portfolio management
• Trade authorisation
• Oversight of transition management activities and fund restructuring
• Input to relevant Investment Policy/Strategy meetings
• Oversight and implementation of risk management using derivatives
• Drift management
• Liquidity reporting
• Work with the Traders on Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA)
• Delivery of on-desk training (systems and processes)
• Oversight of day to activities being carried out by the team

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Strong Team Leader - Represent the team on projects and be the point of call for Operational and Support teams
• Previous management skills - able to delegate workload effectively to the team, objective setting and career development.
• Good understanding of investment instruments - understanding trading process, pricing, margin requirements etc.
• Good market knowledge - understand rules for all markets and trading requirements
• Previous experience of Asset Management - have worked within the Asset Management Industry for at least 5 years
