Job Description:
Alternative Investments Ultra High Net Worth Internal Specialist
• Assist in the coordination of all sales efforts for the Alternative Investments platform -including private equity, hedge funds, managed futures, real assets, non-traditional mutual funds and other alternative investment strategies.
• Act as a subject-matter expert, owning the end-to-end Advisor and UHNW client experience, educating a wide audience across the value proposition of AI, the different types of solutions available, the best practices with implementation and portfolio construction, as well as, ongoing fund updates and reviews
• Responsible for being proactive in scheduling meetings within respective territories, being resourceful with inbound inquiries and being reliable in helping support service related inquiries
• Expand and support the base of AI Users by maintaining and building new trusted partnerships with Advisors in the territory
• Partner with field-based UHNW AI Specialists, working closely as a dedicated home-office based resource in covering territory
• Coordinate the efforts of third party wholesalers/resources within the respective territory
• C oordinate regional events and roadshows with fund managers to educate advisors and clients on Alternative Investment strategies and products
Experience
• 4-6 years' experience in financial services
• Experience with Alternative Investments preferred
• BS / BA degree required
• Completion of Series 7 and 66
• Completion of or progress toward CFA/CAIA is a plus but not required
Qualifications
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply
• Ability to make presentations effectively
• The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and organized
• Prior sales and marketing experience
• Knowledge of alternative investments
• Understanding of the wealth management industry
• Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
• Ability to represent the firm professionally with internal and external contacts
