Position Description:

PIMCO is looking for a corporate communications professional to join its communications team. This person will report to the Global Head of Corporate Communications to help implement the firm's strategic objectives for external media relations and internal communications. This person will work closely with the corporate communications team globally and stakeholders across the firm to support the team's messaging, internal reporting, metrics analysis, media interactions and broadcast schedule.

This person should have good writing skills, sound judgement, be collaborative while also confident working autonomously on projects. This is a chance to be part of a small but highly effective global media and communications team, where the ability to make informed, reasoned decisions in real-time based and the ability to prioritize are critical.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with members of the global corporate communications team in New York, Newport Beach, London and Hong Kong
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team which plays a key role in developing PIMCO's thought leadership
  • Providing information on media, metrics and messaging PIMCO's executive leadership, HR leadership and I&D teams on a range of issues from internal communications, media relations and issues
  • Create media metrics reports, preparing media briefings for reporting out to teams
  • Manage PIMCO's busy broadcast logistics and calendar
  • Managing PIMCO's messaging playbook and library of media statements
  • Cataloging media contacts, inquiries, themes and outreach
  • Coordinating with HR and Marketing on internal communications timelines and templates
  • Tier 2 and 3 media management, including: initial screening, arranging and editing talking points, engaging relevant stakeholders
  • Create some internal communications drafts and timelines
  • Manage conference speaking schedule for media - appearances, TPs, themes, issues
  • Create strategy and presentation documents


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally and succinctly with all levels across the firm
  • Communications or journalism experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in investment management or financial services preferred.
  • Well organized, high energy/self-starter with the ability to work independently within the firm's demanding and highly focused environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, work well in a team environment, and have the ability to interact effectively with senior level employees and outside contacts
