As a Research Analyst VP within SMID Biotechnology, you will have the opportunity to analyze industry macro trends and company financials along with the SMID Biotechnology Senior Analyst. You will be using your expertise to write research reports on the sector for senior investors. What will you be doing?

• You will build and maintain financial models and industry databases for evaluating companies and market segments
• Reviewing business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings and other sources in order to gather, synthesize and interpret data on companies followed by team
• Preparing research reports varying in size and scope from quick briefs on earnings results or strategic events to more in-depth, original thought pieces on a range of topics
• You will have the opportunity to research, analyze and forecast the impact of technology as well as varying corporate strategies
• Helping develop marketing materials for clients and attend industry conferences where appropriate

What we're looking for:

• Strong academic background with a PhD and three + years sell side equity research, investment banking or corporate strategy experience in healthcare
• MBA or CFA (in progress) strongly preferred
• Knowledge of covered companies in the biopharma landscape
• Solid financial experience including financial modeling, financial statement analysis (two+ years)

• Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment with an ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit and proven leadership qualities
• FINRA regulations: Series Exams SIE, 63, 86, 87

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria and fitness center.
