Portfolio Consulting:
The Latin America Portfolio Consulting Team (PC) partners with institutional and wealth clients to build custom investment solutions. PC has a focus and expertise in demonstrating BlackRock products, especially iShares ETFs, to solve client investment challenges. PC consultants serve as a technical specialist that owns the shaping of solutions and risk analyses in direct response to consultative client interactions. Consultants will work closely with the sales teams, delivering portfolio solutions to clients, and contributing to the selling of indexed, factors and active products through a solution driven approach. PC engages with all of the Latin America's client segments (including: asset managers, pension funds, family offices, financial advisors, private banks, home offices) and products (ETFs, mutual funds, liquid and illiquid alternatives) as well as the Aladdin business.

Responsibilities:
► Proactively disseminate investment, portfolio construction and product knowledge throughout the sales and marketing teams to help influence our clients and improve their investment outcomes.

► Manage your project pipeline with sales team and PC partners to set the agenda and timeframe for creating and delivering client work.

► Drive key investment and technology projects, demonstrating expertise in portfolio construction to craft client research for publishing.

► Continually expand and deepen investment, portfolio construction and BlackRock product knowledge base.

► Be an agent for change by using your technology skills to help drive scale in the PC business process.

► Partner with sales and senior consultants to drive flows into BlackRock products by developing portfolio analyses and solutions; serve as product/investment specialist for client discussions.

► Formulate, build and deliver individual client projects, maintaining responsibility for delivering client analysis to key client partners.

► Conduct trainings, seminars and large audience events with institutional and wealth clients on the topics of portfolio construction

► Build business plans and a strategy to commercialize portfolio consulting services in targeted Latin American countries

Experience:
► 8+ years' experience in portfolio management and investment research at a buy-side or investment consulting firm covering Latin American and Offshore investments.

► BA/BS in a quantitative/analytical field such as finance, economics or science.

► CFA and/or advanced degree desirable.

► Excellent analytical skills, as evidenced by formal training in econometrics or statistics, and extensive experience in utilizing those skills in an applied research environment.

► Deep knowledge of risk modeling and proven ability to convey sophisticated topics simply and coherently.

► Programming skills in SQL/VBA/Python/Matlab preferred.

► Strong understanding of financial markets and portfolio construction techniques.

► Able to use technology to deliver financial and economic research.

► Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate must have the confidence and credibility to persuasively interact with colleagues, management, and clients

► Spanish and English language proficiency required. Additional Portuguese skills are desirable
