Job Description

* The level of this position may vary depending on the profile of the selected candidate.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Private Equity, the incumbent supports the achievement of the International Private Equity portfolio and team's business objectives. He acts as his sector's advisor, while contributing to optimizing returns, collaborating on transactions and closely monitoring files to create value.

Main responsibilities

  • Participate in the selection of files and help prepare, within established timetables, preliminary analysis and documents on investment recommendations (executive summaries).
  • Support investment directors by conducting rigorous modelling that draws out the principle decision points.
  • Contribute actively to the due diligence and transaction analysis and closure.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal reports based on established timetables and keep them up to date.
  • Comprehensively review company financial reports, establish comparables that are representative of the market and the competition and conduct a detailed analysis of them.
  • Support directors in preparing and organizing discussions and meetings with partners.
  • Systematically conduct in-depth research on current conditions and trends related to his sectors of activity, proactively monitor the news and collect information from key sources.
  • Develop effective searching and monitoring tools.
  • Produce sector studies on potential markets to develop.
  • Participate in the development of work processes and updating required information.
  • Generate value-added in the portfolio by advising directors on major market trends.


  • At least two (2) years' experience in finance/corporate investing
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or accounting
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration
  • Master's degree in finance and/or CFA designation would be an asset
  • Excellent financial analysis skills
  • Comfortable with software used in finance (Excel, Capital IQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, etc.);
  • Bilinguism is required, both written and spoken
  • Available for international travel, if required.
