Front Office Senior Securities Lending Analyst

Position Purpose:

The Front Office Senior Securities Lending Analyst supports the Derivatives and Multi-Asset Trading Solutions (“DMATS”) Solutions Manager on a wide variety of matters. The role will sit within Global Trading function and will support DMATS’s tactical and strategic initiatives that improve functional efficiencies, mitigate trading risk and further the investment processes. The position will involve ongoing coordination and collaboration across various TRP business units, including Investment & Trading, Risk/Legal/Compliance, Operations & IT, to enhance, deliver and manage securities lending program within Funding and Collateral services to Global Trading and Investment Teams

Strategic Business Planning & Execution Responsibilities:

• Actively work to improve and enhance securities lending capabilities across TRP’s Investment and Trading platform
• Support, build, design and optimize securities lending function within Global Trading
• Prepare, coordinate, and manage Securities Lending Oversight Committee (SLOC)  
• Actively engage with portfolio management teams to review and assess securities lending program for maximum investor participation
• Provide management updates on securities lending program to relevant senior leadership, including steering committees and boards of directors, as needed        
• Apply and embrace new technology solutions to improve business workflows and Trading analysis
• Drive agenda for ongoing oversight of firm-wide securities lending activities and agent lending banks, prepare and review materials for periodic reviews, as needed  
• Attend securities lending industry events and provide thought leadership to securities lending stakeholders  
• Development of key metrics to monitor and manage securities lending progress

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5-7 years related work experience in securities lending arena
• Knowledge of and experience with  securities lending markets from an investment and trading lens
• Experience presenting securities lending program information to senior leadership and board of directors
• Experience leading governance committees and engaging with cross functional stakeholders
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and high level of personal accountability
• Ability to successfully manage and complete multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Strong presentation, organizational and project management skills

Preferred/Beneficial

• Working knowledge of investment industry concepts and derivatives
• Understanding of interplay of collateral usage and repo markets
• Intellectual curiosity and ability to dissect and solve complex problems
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently with limited guidance and have collaborative mindset
• Advanced degree (MBA or MS in finance, engineering, math, or another quantitative field)
• CFA charter holder or candidate
