Position Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst with back office experience to work in greenfield space on a new initiative. PIMCO, Man Group, IHS Markit, State Street, Microsoft and McKinsey & Company have partnered to form a new technology-led company, HUB, to build a cloud-based operating platform aimed at transforming asset managers' operations technology. HUB's greenfield platform will be built by asset managers to transform the industry's operating model by providing flexible and modular solutions across middle and back office functions, all while reducing cost and mitigating risks. We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work with key internal and external stakeholders to integrate our systems with a new vendor cloud platform. This person will be responsible for delivery of solution architecture, business analysis, requirements and functional use cases as well as responding to partner queries. The user will participate in building out data pipeline strategies functional data migration in coordination with multiple outside partners and internal domain experts.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the overall vision of PIMCO's technology platform vision
• Drive and define solution architecture in order to meet requirements specific to PIMCO's use cases, but still ultimately compatible with industry conventions
• Act as liaison between stakeholders (PIMCO, other HUB partners and HUB) and developers to communicate vision and alignment
• Translate requirements into specifications from which developers will build
• Assist in the promotion and adoption of new cloud native tools
• Gather information from subject matter experts to build out the integration points with the new platform
• Work directly with users to solve issues and subsequently collaborate with the development on the best design for a resolution
• Effectively communicate progress and timelines to the business users even during times of changing/ evolving requirements
• Facilitate effective small and large business user sessions (e.g. capability design, prioritization, process improvements)
• Participate in detailed analysis meetings with other business analysts, technology support groups, developers, and technology managers to help deliver scalable and re-usable solutions
• Perform functional QA testing of enhancements prior to their release to Production environment
• Must be able to fulfill ad hoc reporting requests or analysis on timely basis for business users and/or management by querying data base directly, using query tools, and/or validating SQL query results provided by development team
• Create online Training and Reference materials as needed

Position Requirements:

Required:

• Five to ten overall years of technology/systems integration experience
• Minimum of three recent years working on design and systems implementation of cloud infrastructure projects
• Experience in investment industry is a plus.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of reporting metrics for investment portfolios
• Strong data analysis skills using PL/ SQL and Excel
• Is well versed with project planning methodologies, especially Agile.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent initiative: anticipate and avoid/resolve problems; proactively assess areas for improvement; recommend solutions and follow through to implement them
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
• Interest in a great systems design career with an exceptional firm

Preferred but all not required:

• MBA or CFA designation
• Some prior hands on development experience is a plus, does not need to be recent
