An excellent opportunity for a Senior Analyst, or an Associate to join a commodity trader and asset manager, to support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy by originating and structuring financing and acquisitions of both ag and energy related businesses.
ARIA Commodities is an active participant in the energy transition through energy markets, environmental products and a broad range of other agricultural commodity businesses. It has a unique hybrid business model - part physical trader, part structured finance business and party private equity asset manager. We provide risk management, physical logistics and principal capital to our clients to help them accelerate their own transition. We are looking for an experienced Analyst or Associate with strong project or structured finance experience to join the team, after a successful capital raise.
You will work with the Chief Investment Officer, to generate, execute, manage, and realise opportunities, assisting with all elements of the transaction, with an emphasis on financial analysis and due diligence. You will prepare financial models, presentations and approval documents, assist with due diligence and participate in all key elements of transactions. You will work closely with the relevant trading desks to incorporate physical and financial commodity or environmental products alongside the principal finance you may provide. You will be an integral part of flexible and flat deal team and be given the opportunity to contribute ideas and analysis, attend meetings, and work with external parties.
To be considered for this position, you will have between 2-5 years of relevant experience gained in an investment banking/project finance environment (ideally within the commodities, environmental finance/markets or energy). You will be able to demonstrate your deal execution experience and be regarded as a strong performer amongst your peers. You will be key in financial analytics and modelling and the production of presentations and materials for both internal and external audiences. The ability to plan and execute your analysis and to clearly explain your conclusions, both written and verbal, will be a key part of this role. Fluency in another European language other than English would be desirable, even Arabic would be a strong plus.
The team values entrepreneurial spirit, ambition, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn new skills quickly in a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
We would value candidates who have experience in a comparable organisation and qualifications with a focus on numerical analysis (ACCA/CFA, Finance, or relevant subject at a Masters level), although this is not essential. Previous experience could come from a regulated bank, a management consulting firm, a professional services firm, an infrastructure fund, private equity or corporate advisory.
If you have a passion for how private sector capital, finance and risk management solutions can accelerate the transition to Net Zero and help combat climate change, please apply now.
