Description:

  • Trading - M4 Manages a large or specialized team of Traders or multiple teams engaged in the execution of the clients orders in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Contributes to the strategic direction for the firms trading activities. Serves as a resource to senior leadership on trading-related business integration.
  • Oversees the design and development of organizations trading practices, policies and procedures. Ensures the standards for monitoring risk and maintaining adequate levels of liquidity are followed and are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the organizations business strategies.
  • Ensures the appropriate risk management policies and procedures are developed and adhered to with regard to all trading activity.
  • Oversees the implementation of pricing strategies and risk management analysis in coordination with organizations risk leadership.
  • Provides oversight for analysis involving high-risk issues or problems.
  • Responsible for approving recommended solutions and long-term strategies for preventing issues from arising again.
  • Serves as the organizations expert on market conditions and activity.
  • Senior leadership resource for client and broker relationships, serving as expert to both parties and an expert to internal legal and compliance teams that cover trading procedures and operations.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Provides feedback at the most critical times.
  • Manages a large or specialized team of Traders or multiple teams.
  • Work is primarily accomplished through subordinate managers.
  • Responsible for achievement of large, specialized, and/or multiple teams goals.
  • Ensures teams are equipped to operationalize and attain area objectives. Ensures appropriate financial and human resource allocation.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate is a graduate degree and/or CFA holder.
  • Has 3 to 15+ years of experience in buy side taxable fixed income.
  • Strong emphasis on trading and working collaboratively within a small team environment.
  • Deep knowledge of corporates, mortgage backed secrurities a priority and knowledge of municipals helpful.
  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.
