The Position
The Business Manager - Americas provides strategic and tactical support to the Client Group Leadership Team to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in driving growth initiatives and revenue to the firm. The Business Manager will work in conjunction with the Americas management team to oversee the day-to-day aspects of working with clients and prospects across the region. This involves developing a deep understanding of the client landscape, our investment offerings, and the regulatory and competitive environment.
The Business Manager will also act as a project manager internally, connecting various resources across the investment, infrastructure, and client platforms in support of our sales and relationship management efforts.
Responsibilities
The Business Manager should have broad business and management experience. Experience managing people is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years of business experience, with at least 5 years in a management role. Previous experience in the investment management industry is preferred. The individual must be analytical, detail-oriented, well organized and have strong written and verbal communication skills. MBA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with Americas Leadership to develop strategic plan and implement and oversee key strategic initiatives aimed at growing revenue at the firm
- Maintain a deep understanding of the market with a focus on key trends and opportunities for growth
- Oversee the analysis of business metrics and results across the region. Partner with Finance, IT, IPFS, and other stakeholders, to build out our analytics capabilities (e.g., revenues, pipeline, external benchmarking, activity, etc.) including regular financial and benchmark reporting.
- Oversee resourcing planning, budgeting and team design/coverage in support of business growth
- Establish, document, and communicate team policies, procedures and guidelines
- Drive client servicing efficiencies via greater use of automation and new workflow processes
- Direct management responsibilities for a team Business Development Analysts with focus on talent development plans, trainings, hiring and onboarding.
- Serve as team representative on cross functional projects
- Oversee risk management and work closely with Legal and Compliance on regulatory and compliance matters
- Drive horizontal flow of communication across the Americas teams for the mutual benefit of each other's strategic priorities
- Deep infrastructure expertise to inform IT initiatives and drive process improvement strategies for the department
- Focus on global collaboration, across channels and initiatives cross regions
