The Equity Business Development & Strategy team is responsible for delivering a holistic view of BNY Mellon's Pershing execution capabilities and value proposition to clients and prospects. The associate will contribute to the growth of the global equity, options, and foreign exchange businesses, with a focus on equity electronic trading. They will perform business development functions as well as drive initiatives and projects to enhance the client experience, promote revenue growth, and increase efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of assigned product, competition, the marketplace, and client needs to drive growth and maximize profitability. Gathers client execution requirements to assess appropriate execution tools and services Pershing can provide. Identifies and manages a pipeline of prospects from initial conversation through pricing, onboarding, and first-trade date. Independently develops the strategic plan for managing existing client relationships; identifies opportunities to evolve client business for incremental growth. Conducts frequent and regular check-ins with assigned clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and strategic alignment with services and product offerings. Manages projects and initiatives to deliver enhanced solutions and capabilities resulting in increased revenue and client satisfaction. No direct reports; provides guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed

Preferred Requirements:
Looking for a candidate with a high school diploma, (equivalent or higher), 10-12 years electronic trading business development or relationship management experience. In-depth knowledge of global equity algorithmic trading strategies equity market structure, trading regulations, industry trends, and trading analytics. Experience presenting execution capabilities to heads of trading and C-level associates. Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external teams such as technology, legal, compliance, and credit / risk. Must have the ability to multi-task, be proactive and demonstrate ownership /initiative; Possess excellent communication and writing skills. Proficient in MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel and Power Point. Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE), FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 55 or 57 required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate/possess:
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA or CFA preferred.
• Series 7, 63 or 66, and 55 or 77 licenses are required. Pershing will support you in obtaining these licenses within your first 6 months of employment should you not have them at the time of hire.
