In February 2021, as a result of discussion and agreement with Insight, BNY Mellon announced that four US specialised fixed income investment teams within affiliate Mellon Investments are to move to Insight Investment. Based in Boston and San Francisco, the Efficient Beta, Municipal Bond, Stable Value and Taxable Fixed Income teams will become part of Insight's US investment platform and business, bringing with them client relationships and assets.

Division Description:

The Senior Portfolio Analyst is responsible for assisting PM's in more complex aspects of the management of portfolios, both domestic and international. The Senior Portfolio Analyst will work closely with the Portfolio Managers to calculate the effect of any strategy changes on the portfolio and analyse the suitability of the transaction. He/she may conduct research.

The Senior Portfolio Analyst will prepare trades and monitor clearing compliance notifications. He/She will be in charge of investment reporting and analytics for their assigned investment teams and will support the marketing and client service teams with data requests. Responsibilities may also include interpreting performance attribution, tracking error reports and generating other portfolio analytics.

  • Prepare trades and monitor and clear compliance notifications.
  • •Assist PM's in more complex aspects of the management of portfolios, both domestic and international, along with researching of potential business profitability.
  • Calculate the effect of any strategy changes on the portfolio and analyse the suitability of the transaction.
  • Report and analyse investments for assigned investment teams, and support the marketing and client service teams with data requests.
  • Interpret performance attribution, and track error reports in order to generate other portfolio analytics

Purpose of Role:

The Portfolio Analysts are responsible for implementing portfolio trades as directed by the investment teams. Portfolio Managers drive the investment approach and make investment decisions of assets, applying an investment strategy and leveraging a specific type of security

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA and/or CFA preferred.

• 3-5 years prior financial/investment experience.
