Position Overview

APAC MASS is seeking to expand its Hong Kong team by hiring a Vice President/Product Strategist to support the development of our expanding multi-asset Wealth Strategies & Solutions business in the AxJ region, with a focus on promoting our multi-asset investment solutions primarily to Wealth and Private investors, and financial intermediaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with Portfolio Managers and Senior Product Strategists in the design and commercialization of multi-asset investment strategies, including target return, target risk, absolute return, income-oriented, retirement and ESG strategies. In particular, he/she will serve as both a primary product strategist to support key investment strategies in MA Income and MA ESG, as well as a supporting role to Senior Product Strategists for our flagship multi-asset funds. As a Product Strategist, he/she will be responsible for product development and design, for generating relevant investment content on topics that position interesting insights and investment strategies, for presenting as an 'investment specialist' for complex investment strategies to gatekeepers and to large forums, and generally for driving overall commercial success through AUM growth.

Interested new joiners should have an excellent understanding of multi-asset investing, risk management concepts, and have strong communication skills. Additionally, they should have working understanding of the Asia Wealth market and experience of explaining detailed investment concepts to third parties, including clients that may not have deep financial experience or familiarity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree or higher-level qualification and demonstrated record of academic achievement;
• 5+ years of asset management experience, preferably across multiple asset classes and investment subject areas
• Demonstrated experience in an asset management, investment banking or investment consulting environment
• Familiarity with a wide array of complex investment strategies
• Excellent communication skills in writing and speech; capable of connecting with multiple audiences and adapting style of communication in real time
• Ability to present and articulate sophisticated concepts simply
• High self-motivation, ownership and initiative
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent teammate
• High level of integrity, enabling candidate to become a trusted partner to clients and peers
• High degree of intellectual curiosity; ardent "student of the markets"

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience as an Investment Product Strategist or Product Manager at an established asset management firm
• Desire to help build a business and willingness to be involved in all aspects of business growth initiatives
• Achievement of CFA, FRM, CAIA or progress towards achieving
• Language skills for the local market
