We Offer
As part of the role, your responsibilities include:
  • Provide 2 LoD market risk review and challenge to the business with respect to the ASP business
  • Establish market risk appetite and limit framework in line with the overall APAC market risk framework and practice
  • Review and challenge the risk profile, including new business and pre-trade valuation & risk approvals.
  • Identify material risks and vulnerabilities through close monitoring in the ASP space and make recommendation for improvements on the control.
  • Establish local market risk analysis tools or models
  • Seek to identify, report, and enforce remediation of out-of-policy and excessive risk taking, including associated conduct issues.
  • Take up ad-hoc assignments and related tasks where required

Credit Suisse APAC has an opportunity in Singapore for a market risk professional (ENO-AVP level) within the Market Risk Management department in executing its risk strategy with respect to APAC Strategic Products (ASP) business. The role is required especially given the strategic importance of the ASP business in line with the APAC divisional strategy.

You Offer

You are expected to possess the below:
  • 1~5 years of experience in market risk management, risk monitoring, scenario design, stress testing or implementation of Risk Appetite Frameworks
  • Master or Bachelor Degree holder in Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Risk Management or relevant field
  • Strong product knowledge in fixed income instruments. Experience and understanding of derivatives is essential.
  • Able to operate autonomously, drive a project / task forward and produce an end state product that can be presented to senior management
  • Post graduate qualifications within a relevant field i.e. CFA, FRM, PRIMA
  • Outstanding programming skills will be an advantage (Python, R, VBA)
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
