Job Details

This position requires a strong analytical aptitude, passion for investment management, ability to design, monitor and adapt processes to meet the needs of the firm and our clients, and ability to lead a team of talented professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead research efforts regarding financial markets and the economy
  • Collaborate with team on portfolio construction
  • Oversee asset allocation and due diligence of mutual funds, ETFs, individual stocks, bonds, and alternatives
  • Communicate economic events and allocation changes to member advisors and clients
  • Monitor and maintain client portfolios
  • Lead, develop and mentor members of the Investment Team
  • Deliver on Prosperity’s investment philosophy, identify and monitor strategy changes based on current market and economic environment, implement those changes and communicate that across the organization
  • Design and oversee processes and procedures that support Prosperity’s investment philosophy and ensure adherence to those processes
  • Understand and maintain a process to ensure Prosperity’s adherence to Fiduciary Standards  with regard to product research and documentation
  • Promote the services of our advisor-facing solution, PRG, and drive growth to that program
  • Occasional participation in meetings for high net worth clients
  • Participate in broker/dealer, OSJ, and industry conferences; participation to include presenting at some events
  • Obtain and maintain an understanding of the relatively few illiquid alternative investments held in Prosperity’s client portfolios, including advising advisors with regard to liquidity events and tender offerings
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Business, Finance, or Economics
  • Strong quantitative/mathematical background
  • Minimum 9 years industry experience
  • Experience managing a team of professionals, preferred
  • CFA Charterholder for 5 years
  • FINRA Series 7, Series 63/65 or 66; must obtain all state registrations
  • Strong Excel skills, VBA skills a plus
  • Minimum 2 years experience  working with Factset or Bloomberg
  • Ability to communicate complex investment concepts to a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to travel; travel is infrequent
  • Ability to pass background check
