Description:
 

Clearwell Group is a family office seeking a Portfolio Associate to focus on manager search and analysis, asset allocation, asset class analysis.  Investment Managers include primarily public equity and private equity managers but will cross geographies and asset classes, sectors and market caps. Investment vehicles include hedge funds, private equity, venture funds, private real estate and separate account managers.  The position is located in Hyde Park, Tampa and will report to the Managing Member / CIO of Clearwell Group, LLC.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support on a wide variety of assignments including asset allocation, portfolio risk analysis, asset class analysis, manager sourcing and monitoring and individual security analysis.
  • Assist with all aspects of the investment process, including monitoring investment portfolios, sourcing managers, negotiating terms, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of performance
  • Use and manage various portfolio software tools including account reconciliation software, client reporting software, portfolio management software and CRM facing manager search and monitoring
  • Monitor Pipelines, Track Investments vs. benchmarks, and Produce performance reports on various investments as well as summary reports for management and advisory board review

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a competitive undergraduate business program.   A concentration/major in Finance is preferred
  • CFA
  • Strong knowledge of markets, cross asset class, security analysis and corporate finance
  • Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability as well as understanding of financial modeling and valuation terms, concepts and methodologies, Excel
  • Three to five years’ work experience in endowment or investment work
  • Investment banking, corporate finance or sell-side research background
  • Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PPT, some programing and online resources experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to accurately manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and with others
  • Strong ethical framework including handling confidential information and serving others with excellence
