Quantitative Analyst/Assistant Portfolio Manager
Established in 1999, Vunani Fund Managers (VFM) is a boutique asset management company which provides a broad suite of investment solutions for institutional clients in South Africa. Largely due to growth in the demand for our systematic and index tracking funds, we are looking to employ a suitable individual.
This individual would partake in the management of systematic funds. Perform analytical research in the area of systematic fund management. Conduct performance and quantitative analysis for the investment team. Assist in the management and use of data in the VFM database as well as the bespoke VFM investment management software.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree e.g., finance, mathematical sciences, financial engineering
- South African Citizen
- Qualify as a candidate in terms of the Employment Equity Act of South Africa
- 5 years relevant experience
Advantageous
- Part or full completion of CFA charter
- Current registration in terms of the South African FAIS Act
- System skills such as programming, SQL, relational database concepts
