The Client Business group serves six client segments - Official institution, Insurance, Pension, Bank, Asset management, and High net worth.

Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services relevant to clients' investment needs. Unified under one global client platform, individual client businesses are accountable for client relationships and distribution of products and services and are supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures consistency globally.

The role:

Our Korea Client Business team is seeking a professional to service our growing client base. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with distribution channels to promote fund products in Korea.

The role would offer an opportunity to work with the biggest distribution channels including banks and securities firms in the region. The firm will support the successful candidate with training on product knowledge, relationship management skills, processes & systems.

  • This role requires you to work as relationship manager for distribution channel clients including banks and securities firms in Korea to promote BlackRock's fund products and investment solution.
  • As a Relationship Manager, you will develop, manage and strengthen relationships with distribution channel clients, investment needs from banks and AMCs in Korea. This would include identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic alliances with key partners to grow fund assets.
  • Maximize and grow sales across our platform with our market leading products and solutions.
  • Working closely with Regional teams in exploring new business opportunities and strategic planning for the distribution channel clients including direct investment needs from Banks.
  • Conduct effective investment seminars with excellent presentation skills
  • Provide a wide variety of client service ranging from BlackRock's general market perspectives, asset allocation, investment opinion to specific asset sector views
  • Understand and track current product trends both internally and externally as the basis to formulate strategies in maximizing asset growth
  • Provide required sales support in terms of ad hoc sales talk and Q&A write-ups, quarterly fund industry data collection and arrangement, market and product material generation, client seminar presentation, and etc.
  • Be the face of the firm, able to speak holistically across the value of the firm and full spectrum of the firm's offerings.

  • 5 years' experience in relationship management in financial services with a strong preference for direct experience in asset management services/solutions.
  • Strong product knowledge with mutual funds, asset management industry will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, positive and open-minded individual, with the ability to think strategically to drive new business in a long term.
  • You should have a University degree in any discipline. Having additional industry-based qualifications such as a CFA will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in both English and Korean.
