The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join a successful and ambitious team within an established Wealth Management firm.

The Senior Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the construction of investment portfolios for clients, ensuring that the portfolios are managed in line with client requirements, their tax situation and appetite to risk, whilst being guided by the Wealth Management firm's investment views.

The Senior Portfolio Manager will act as the primary contact for Wealth Managers on portfolio management related issues and will manage client assets, providing advice in accordance with the Wealth Management firm's investment process.

The Portfolios constructed will be a mixture of Advisory, Execution only and some Bespoke client portfolios.

The Senior Portfolio Manager will investment directly into multi-asset classes, however this is predominantly Equities and ETFs, with some bonds / fixed income.

Ensure that new client money is invested in an effective manner in accordance with the client's instructions, risk appetite and objectives.

Regular portfolio reporting and evaluation process must remain in place, as the Senior Portfolio Manager will be responsible for documenting any changes to client portfolio (asset allocation / changes to the financial markets).

The Senior Portfolio Manager will assist with the evaluation of different asset classes and select appropriate securities for inclusion in client portfolios, whilst evaluating the impact of strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions and rebalancing client portfolios accordingly.

Evaluate the impact of stock/fund specific, market and general economic indicators and take appropriate action within client portfolios.

Write clear, concise and technically accurate communications to clients and Wealth Managers , and from time to time attend client meetings.

Day to day management and monitoring of model portfolios and production of investment proposals.

The Candidate

8-10 years' experience within Portfolio Management - with a thorough understanding of all asset classes and portfolio construction within the wealth and asset management industry.

Sound knowledge of UK wealth management industry and the regulatory framework

Relevant industry qualifications either PCIAM or full CFA - essential

Experience investing directly into the markets (equity, ETFs, fixed income)

Ambitious with a desire to grow with the team.

Strong interpersonal skills.
