Job description
The candidate will report to the head of the Research Investment Committee. The candidate will help produce one of the most widely-read reports in the bank and help expand coverage of ETFs and closed-end funds. Key responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of a wide variety of asset classes (stocks, bonds, commodities, derivatives, etc.)
  • Perform complex financial analysis
  • Update and refine financial models
  • Write regular reports on market events impacting different asset classes
  • Work with Senior Analysts to develop key investment themes
  • Participate and contribute to client meetings and events
  • Closely follow and understand key markets and industries
  • Seek out new, value-added, and/or unusual sources of information

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, 2+ years of work experience minimum
  • MBA and/or progress toward CFA preferred
  • Strong writing and spreadsheet skills. Must be an expert at MS Word and MS Excel
  • Areas of academic excellence must include finance; should have an understanding of macroeconomics and public policy
  • Must enjoy working in databases and websites, and doing desktop and field research
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
  • Must work well in a collaborative team environment
