About our Business

BlackRock's ETF and Index Investments (EII) business is the leading index investment engine in the world. We are the best in the world at building and managing efficient index tools for our clients. We serve every kind of investor: pensions, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, asset managers, wealth advisors and individual investors.

About our Team

iShares Investment Strategy forms part of the Investment and Product Strategy (IPS) team within the EMEA ETF and Index Investments (EII) business. Our team helps clients to navigate financial markets and align their strategic and tactical asset allocation views with product implementation ideas, through ad hoc and regular client meetings, virtual and physical events, content, and internal forums aimed at equipping Sales colleagues to discuss BlackRock's latest macro views with clients.

About this Role

  • Originating content ideas and partnering with other members of the Investment and Product Strategy team as well as stakeholders from across BlackRock to bring these ideas to fruition.

  • Actively participating in and presenting at internal forums and debates hosted by the Investment Strategy team, as well as those hosted by partner groups, including the BlackRock Investment Institute.
  • Ensuring continual awareness of third-party research, insights, and industry trends that can help to contextualise the Investment Strategy team's views.

The candidate needs to also be commercially minded, with a focus on placing client challenges and needs first, and understanding how best to address them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investment Thought Leadership: establish reputation as investment and market specialist within iShares EMEA by contributing to the formulation of investment ideas and market narratives, based on own expert knowledge of latest market moves and economic trends, proprietary research, insights from other BlackRock thought leaders/ investment professionals, and third party sources.
