In this new role reporting to the Managing Director, Strategic Management and Analysis, the Director, Strategy and Analysis will be responsible for providing senior leaders with business analysis and strategic direction recommendations, which collectively optimize the value of the City’s municipal, utility and energy assets while also driving efficient and cost effective delivery of City.  In this role you will also lead the City’s participation in energy markets and the delivery of other commercial instruments.

As the successful candidate, you have built a career and track record of success in executive roles with a large, complex organization operating in a multi-stakeholder environment you have a passion for public service and for embracing the community in which you live.  You are a proven leader who has experience working with Executives on risk/reward of business opportunities.  Your knowledge and experience with financial modelling and analysis, as well as experience navigating legislative changes to optimize opportunities and mitigate risk is a strength of yours.  You have demonstrated sound judgement based on data driven evidence and analysis and have the ability to see the larger picture, which enables you to plan and execute strategy and measure results.

As a proven leader you possess a flexible, adaptable approach to your work, and foster a high performing work culture for your team.  You have proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to listen and discuss ideas and create practical and creative solutions to complex problems.
