The opportunity

Based in Hong Kong, you will be an integral part of the investment team with a focus on supporting direct investments & opportunities globally. The Analyst / Associate should have experience and be able to effectively work in particularly the Greater China markets but should also be willing and expect to work on deals across different regions. By joining the team, you will be working with investment professionals with deep sector and regional expertise. You play a key role in supporting senior investment professionals in analyzing potential investment opportunities and executing transactions as well as monitoring the performance of existing investments and working with portfolio company management teams to execute central initiatives.

Investment Associate/Analyst

  • Conduct market research, perform due diligence and attend management meetings
  • Perform in-depth sector, strategic, financial analysis and modelling on investment projects
  • Work closely with the team in structuring and execution of investment, financing, legal documentation, deal negotiation, post-investment management
  • Communicate key findings and recommendations to the investment committee
  • Assist in negotiation of terms of transaction and preparation of investment documentation
  • Involved in internal/external reporting and administrative work

  • 3 to 6 years of work experience in the M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, private equity, venture capital or direct investing at leading firms
  • Minimum a bachelor's degree from a top tier university ideally in business, accounting and / or finance. A CFA or CAIA designation is considered a plus
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both oral and written), with proven ability to articulate sophisticated ideas, issues and recommendations effectively
