As a Barclays Product Development - Strategic Transactions Group team member, you will be part of a group of high performing professionals in the US. The primary responsibility of the group is to develop complex and challenging transactions comprising the Strategic Transactions Group (STG) business and assist with the execution thereof.

What will you be doing?
• Evaluating transactions from a tax, accounting, regulatory and financial perspective through careful factual diligence, research and financial modeling
• Preparing presentations, technical memoranda, financial models and other papers in support of the evaluation, approval and execution of transactions
• Managing relationships with external advisors, functions, internal stakeholders and clients as part of the development and execution of transactions
• Risk-managing executed transactions by thoughtfully overseeing documentation and filings and keeping abreast of related changes in law and market environment

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Engineering and Math
• Juris Doctor (JD)
• Relevant working experience in US tax-technical capacity in a transactional team within a law firm, investment bank or similar organization

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Prior quantitative work experience such as at an investment bank, consulting firm or similar organization
• Master of Laws (LLM) in Tax or advanced tax coursework
• Accounting proficiency (as demonstrated by CPA/ CFA or advanced accounting coursework or experience)

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
